Privacy Policy

Your privacy, plainly explained

Last updated: 31 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Stoqtrade Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Stoqtrade”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, mobile app, courses, live sessions, and community, and how we use, share, and protect it.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you provide — name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account; billing details when you purchase a course (processed by our payment partner, see Section 4); messages you post in the community or discussion forums; and anything you send us via support or contact forms.
  • Information collected automatically — device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, time spent, course progress, and approximate location, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).
  • Information from third parties — if you sign in using a third-party account (e.g. Google), we receive your name and email address from that provider.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and maintain your account and deliver course content, certificates, and live sessions.
  • To process payments, send invoices, and manage refunds.
  • To personalise your learning path and show you relevant courses and market data.
  • To send service updates, and — only with your consent — marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • To moderate the community and discussion forums and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • To detect fraud, secure our platform, and comply with applicable law.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as light/dark theme), and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control or disable cookies from your browser settings; doing so may affect parts of the site, such as staying signed in.

4. Payment processing

Course and subscription payments are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant, RBI-authorised payment gateway. Stoqtrade does not store your full card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on our servers — the payment processor shares only a transaction reference and status with us.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, or send emails on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Mentors and instructors, limited to what is needed to support your learning (e.g. your name and progress in their course).
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where required by Indian law or to protect our legal rights.
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with notice to you.

6. Data security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and report any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a further period as required to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations under Indian law. You may request deletion of your account at any time, as described in Section 8.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable Indian law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@stoqtrade.com. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

9. Children's privacy

Stoqtrade is intended for users aged 18 and above, consistent with our course content on live financial markets. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
